Lake Nisser Viewpoint

Perched above the deep blue waters of Lake Nisser in Telemark, this viewpoint gives you a sweeping elevated look over one of Norway's most scenic inland lakes, with forested ridges framing the water on all sides. The classic composition here is to position yourself at the edge of the viewpoint and use the natural tree framing to draw the eye down toward the lake below. Early morning is ideal, when mist often rises off the water and the light is soft and directional; golden hour in the evening also works well as the low sun catches the surface and brings warmth to the surrounding forest. A wide angle lens suits the broad panorama, though a short telephoto helps compress the layers of ridgeline and water nicely.
