Designed by architect Frank Gehry, this striking building on the University of Toronto campus features a sculptural white exterior with cylindrical glass towers and undulating forms that reward careful compositional study. The reflective glass columns and curved surfaces catch light beautifully, especially in the soft hours after sunrise or before sunset when warm tones play across the facade. Walk around the full perimeter before committing to a shot; the south and east sides offer strong geometric framing opportunities, while looking upward from the base with a wide angle lens emphasizes the dramatic vertical curves against the sky. Overcast days work surprisingly well here by reducing harsh shadows and letting the architectural detail read clearly. A 16-35mm lens gives you flexibility to work in tight against the building or pull back to include context from the surrounding campus. (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
