Madinat Jumeirah
Madinat Jumeirah is a sprawling resort complex built to resemble a traditional Arabian village, with wind towers, carved wooden details, and a network of waterways winding between the buildings. The architecture is rich with texture and pattern, giving you strong material for close-up detail shots as well as wider environmental compositions. The most iconic angle is from the waterway boardwalks, where you can frame the Burj Al Arab rising above the rooftops using a mid-range or telephoto lens to compress the distance and bring it in tight. The covered souq interiors offer beautiful diffused light at any time of day, while the outdoor abra canals catch warm golden tones at sunset. Early morning gets you the space largely to yourself before crowds build. A 24-70mm covers most situations well, and a longer zoom helps isolate the Burj Al Arab against a clean sky.
