Parc-nature du Bois-de-Liesse
Parc-nature du Bois-de-Liesse is a forested urban nature park on the western edge of Montreal, offering a rare combination of dense woodland, wetlands, and quiet river frontage along the Rivière des Prairies. The mix of habitats gives you a lot to work with: reflections on still water, textured bark and canopy light filtering through the trees, and open meadow edges that catch soft golden hour glow. Early morning is the strongest time to visit, when mist lifts off the water and the light comes in low through the trees, creating natural spotlighting on the forest floor. A wide-angle lens works well for capturing the sense of depth along the wooded trails, while a short telephoto is useful for isolating reflections on the river. Trails are well-maintained and easy to navigate, so you can move between the water and the interior forest without much difficulty. (Montreal, Quebec, Canada)
