Planten un Blomen
Planten un Blomen is an amazing urban oasis that offers manicured flower beds, herb gardens and vast lawns. Idyllic ponds as well as themed gardens create many amazing shooting opportunities as you walk through the park's scenic trails. The Apothekergarten (pharmacist's garden) offers a broad variety of medicinal herbs and plants. The Bürgergarten (citizens' garden) is full of colourful flower arrangements and the Rosengarten specializes in roses. In summer, it is a special treat to see the more than 300 varieties in full bloom. One of the highlights of the park are the Japanese gardens. With their exotic plants and trees, intriguing rock formations, small ponds and a picturesque teahouse, these gardens are a true piece of art. The sunniest place in Planten un Blomen is fittingly modelled around a Mediterranean topic. Dark slate stores the heat emitted from sunlight and allows for fig and lemon trees, hibiscus and gunnera to grow in the cooler Hamburg climate. (Hamburg, Germany)
