Sitting at the heart of the Cour Napoléon, the Louvre Pyramid is one of the most striking architectural contrasts in the world, with I.M. Pei's geometric glass structure set against the ornate Renaissance facades of the palace surrounding it. You have a lot of compositional options here: shooting low and wide with a 16-35mm lens lets you include the reflective pool in the foreground, which mirrors the pyramid cleanly on calm days. Try positioning yourself at the corners of the courtyard to capture the smaller pyramids alongside the main structure, adding depth and scale. Blue hour, just after sunset, is the sweet spot when the pyramid glows from within and the palace is bathed in warm artificial light. The square gets crowded during the day, so arriving early or late gives you cleaner shots with fewer tourists in frame. (Paris, Île-de-France, France)
