Pont des Arts
The Pont des Arts is a pedestrian bridge spanning the Seine in the heart of Paris, offering some of the most iconic views the city has to offer. Standing at the midpoint of the bridge gives you a strong leading line running toward the Institut de France dome to the west, while looking east frames the Louvre and the river bending through the city. Wide angle lenses work well for capturing the full sweep of the Seine with the Haussmann architecture lining both banks. Early morning is by far the best time to shoot here, when the bridge is nearly empty and soft, even light falls across the water without harsh shadows. The golden hour before sunrise can reflect beautifully off the Seine. The bridge is flat and fully accessible, and you can move freely from railing to railing to find your angle.
