Queen's House
Queen's House is a pristine white 17th-century Palladian villa sitting at the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Greenwich, framed by the colonnaded wings of the Royal Naval College on either side and the steep green hill of Greenwich Park rising behind it. The most iconic shot is from the riverfront or the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College, where you can use the symmetrical baroque buildings as a natural frame drawing the eye straight to the white facade. The view from the top of Greenwich Park looking down also rewards wide-angle compositions, placing the house small against the Thames and Canary Wharf skyline beyond. Midday light works surprisingly well here given the building's bright white exterior, though overcast days reduce harsh shadows on the facade. A standard zoom or wide-angle lens handles most compositions comfortably, and the grounds are freely accessible throughout the day. (Greenwich, London, United Kingdom)
