Pier Promenade, Cutty Sark Gardens
The Pier Promenade at Cutty Sark Gardens sits on the south bank of the Thames in Greenwich, offering one of the most dramatic views of Canary Wharf's glass towers reflected across the river. You get a clean, unobstructed sightline looking north, with the water acting as a natural mirror for the skyline when conditions are calm. Shoot from the pier itself to compress the towers using a longer focal length, or pull wide from the promenade to include the foreground ripples and any moored boats for depth. Blue hour, just after sunset, is the sweet spot here, when the tower lights come on and the sky still holds color. Sunrise also works well for softer light and fewer people. The area is easy to reach via the DLR to Cutty Sark station, and the promenade gives you plenty of room to shift your angle. (London, England, United Kingdom)
