Rue Crémieux
Rue Crémieux is one of Paris's most colorful streets, a narrow cobblestone lane lined with pastel-painted townhouses in shades of pink, yellow, mint, and blue, making it a standout subject for architecture and detail photography. Walk the full length of the street and shoot from both ends to compress the facades into a tight, symmetrical frame using a short telephoto around 50-85mm; getting low adds drama and makes the cobblestones lead the eye through the scene. Early morning on weekdays is by far the best time to visit, giving you soft, even light and far fewer people; the street fills quickly with tourists and locals by mid-morning. Keep in mind that this is a residential street and neighbors have grown weary of intrusive visitors, so stay on the cobblestones, keep your voice down, and avoid blocking doorways.
