Cromer Pier
Cromer Pier is a classic Victorian pleasure pier stretching 151 metres into the North Sea, offering one of the most iconic coastal compositions in Norfolk. The pier's clean lines and ornate ironwork make it a natural leading line, and shooting from the beach at low tide gives you wet sand reflections to work with in the foreground. Head to the east or west side of the beach to capture the pier from an angle rather than straight on, which adds depth and perspective. Sunrise is the standout time here, with soft golden light catching the structure and minimal crowds on the beach. A wide angle lens works well for dramatic foreground interest, while a short telephoto lets you compress the pier against the lifeboat station at its tip. The beach is easily accessible directly from the town centre. (Cromer, Norfolk, England)
