Hant’s Harbour is situated on the western side of the Bay de Verde Peninsula that divides Trinity Bay and Conception Bay on the Avalon Peninsula, NL. It’s horseshoe-shaped harbour is bounded by Grassy Island on the west and Custard’s Head on the east. There is a very accessible (but narrow 5-minute walk up a) trail up a moderately rocky incline to the lighthouse. Just before reaching the trail plateau, there is a smaller (rockier) path to the right that gives a different view of the lighthouse. So here is the beauty of such a location: sunny blue skies, rain or rain and fog will provide an apropos setting and atmosphere for photographing a historic lighthouse.
