High Park is one of Toronto's largest green spaces, offering a surprisingly wild feel within the city, with mature woodland, open meadows, and the famous cherry blossom grove that draws photographers every spring. The Sakura trees near the central path bloom in late April to early May, and shooting through the branches toward the walking paths below gives you layered, dreamy compositions; arrive early on weekday mornings to beat the crowds. Beyond the blossoms, Grenadier Pond in the southwest corner is worth visiting at golden hour, where calm water reflects the surrounding trees and occasional wildlife. A wide angle lens works well for the forest paths and pond reflections, while a short telephoto helps isolate blossoms or birds. The park is easily accessible by TTC subway at High Park station, and most shooting locations are within a short walk of the main entrance. (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
