The Sunnyside Bathing Pavilion is a beautiful Beaux-Arts structure built in 1922 along Toronto's western waterfront, with its arched colonnades, ornate detailing, and creamy white facade making it one of the city's most photogenic heritage buildings. Shoot from the lakeside path to capture the full symmetry of the building with Lake Ontario in the foreground, or get close to the arched walkways and use them as natural frames for portraits or detail shots. The colonnade facing the water works especially well with a wide angle lens to exaggerate the repeating arches as leading lines. Golden hour light hits the south-facing facade beautifully in the late afternoon, giving the white stone a warm glow. The surrounding plaza is open and flat, so you have plenty of room to work at various distances; early mornings on weekdays keep foot traffic low. (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
