Konkordiahütte
Konkordiahütte SAC sits high above the Aletsch Glacier in the Bernese Alps and offers one of the most dramatic viewpoints in Switzerland. Reached by a demanding hike that includes glacier crossings and ladders, the hut overlooks the meeting point of several massive ice flows, creating a sweeping frozen landscape that stretches to the horizon. Photographers will find strong lines, shifting light, and striking contrasts between ice, rock, and sky. The glacier’s scale is best captured during early morning or late afternoon when long shadows bring out its depth and texture. The hut provides overnight lodging, making it possible to catch both sunrise and sunset in this remote alpine setting.
