Laxenburg Castle Park
Laxenburg Castle Park, just south of Vienna, is a vast landscaped park surrounding the former Habsburg summer residence. The grounds feature a mix of wooded trails, open meadows, and reflective lakes, with highlights including the medieval-style Franzensburg Castle set on an island. Photographers will find plenty to capture, from romantic bridges and tree-lined paths to historical buildings framed by nature. Seasonal changes bring fresh colors, especially in autumn and spring. The park is easy to explore on foot or by bike, with several scenic spots located close to the main entrance at Schloßplatz. Early morning and late afternoon offer the best natural light.
