Nice Little Beach
Tucked just off the Ottawa River Pathway and Trans Canada Trail, this quiet sandy cove offers an intimate stretch of shoreline along the Ottawa River with views across the water toward the Gatineau Hills. The natural framing here is excellent; use the treeline on either side to draw the eye toward the open water, or get low on the sand to capture reflections and foreground texture. Early morning is ideal when mist often hovers over the river and the light is soft and directional, though golden hour in the evening also works well with warm tones catching the far shoreline. A mid-range zoom or wide angle lens suits the scene nicely. The spot is easy to reach on foot or by bike along the pathway, and its secluded character means you will often have it to yourself, giving you time to work the scene without crowds.
