Nyang Nyang Beach is a remote, uncrowded stretch of white sand on Bali's Bukit Peninsula, reached by a steep staircase descent that keeps the crowds thin and the scenery largely unspoiled. The wide open beach gives you plenty of room to work with, from long foreground lines of wet sand reflecting the sky, to the rugged cliffs and green hillsides framing either end of the bay. Sunset is the prime time to shoot here, with warm light hitting the cliffs and casting long shadows across the beach while the waves catch the glow. A wide angle lens works well for capturing the full sweep of the bay, but you can also isolate the rock formations along the shore for tighter compositions. Wear shoes you don't mind getting sandy on the descent, and arrive at least an hour before sunset to scout the beach and find your position. (Pecatu, Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia)
