Siuslaw River Bridge
The Siuslaw River Bridge is a stunning 1936 Art Deco drawbridge spanning the Siuslaw River in Florence, with bascule towers, ornate detailing, and graceful tied-arch spans that make it one of the most photogenic bridges on the Oregon Coast. From the north bank waterfront, you can frame the full bridge with its reflection in the calm river, especially effective during the golden hour before sunset when warm light catches the concrete towers and the water turns glassy. Early morning fog is common here and adds a moody, atmospheric quality worth chasing. A wide to standard zoom in the 24-70mm range handles most compositions well, from sweeping full-bridge shots to tighter details on the towers. You can also walk or drive across the bridge itself to shoot back toward the waterfront and marina below for a different perspective. Street parking is available on both sides of the river.
