The Eiffel Tower and Pont d'Iéna offer one of the most iconic architectural compositions in the world, and with the right approach you can move well beyond the standard postcard shot. The bridge itself makes a strong foreground element, with its symmetrical stone arches and lampposts leading your eye directly toward the tower. Shooting from the bridge level keeps the structure low in the frame and emphasizes its scale, while moving to the Trocadéro esplanade on the north bank gives you the classic elevated perspective with the tower centered between the gardens. Blue hour, just after sunset, is ideal when the tower's warm amber glow contrasts against the deep blue sky. Early morning on weekdays keeps crowds thin on the bridge. A wide angle lens works well for the full scene, but a short telephoto helps compress the lampposts into tighter leading lines. (Paris, Île-de-France, France)
