The deep turquoise and blue tones of the glacial water contrast sharply with the ancient grey-blue ice walls surrounding it, giving you a naturally dramatic color palette without any filters needed. Shoot low to the water's surface to emphasize the reflections and compress the cave ceiling into your frame; a wide angle lens in the 16-24mm range works best here to capture the full sense of scale and enclosure. Overcast days are ideal since harsh sunlight rarely penetrates deep enough anyway, and diffused light keeps the ice textures even and detailed.
