Kleivafossen is a powerful 41-meter waterfall in western Norway, dropping in full view of a roadside bridge along the scenic Trollstig area, making it one of the more accessible dramatic waterfalls in the region. The falls hit a rocky ledge midway down, creating two distinct tiers you can use to build layered compositions, and the surrounding moss-covered canyon walls add rich green context to your frame. Position yourself on or near the bridge for a straight-on view, or work down toward the base for a low angle that emphasizes the scale of the drop. Overcast days are ideal since the soft diffused light tames harsh contrast and lets you use slower shutter speeds to smooth out the water. A wide angle lens in the 16-24mm range works well, and bring a microfiber cloth because the spray will reach your front element quickly. (Stryn, Vestland, Norway)
