Jameson House
Jameson House is a striking mixed-use tower in downtown Vancouver, designed by Foster + Partners, and its curved glass facade and steel detailing make it one of the most architecturally rewarding buildings in the city to photograph. The interplay of reflections on the concave and convex glass surfaces changes dramatically depending on the time of day and weather, giving you constantly shifting compositions. Shoot from street level looking up to emphasize the building's sculptural curves against the sky, or step back along West Hastings Street to capture the full height in context with neighboring heritage buildings. Overcast days produce clean, even reflections across the glass, while partly cloudy skies add drama and depth. A wide-angle lens works well for full facade shots, and a longer focal length lets you isolate the geometric patterns and reflective details higher up. The surrounding sidewalks are open and easy to navigate. (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada)
