Kapellbrücke

Kapellbrücke, or Chapel Bridge, is Lucerne’s most famous landmark and one of Europe’s oldest covered wooden bridges, stretching diagonally across the Reuss River. Built in the 14th century, it features a series of triangular roof paintings and a striking octagonal stone tower that rises beside it. The bridge offers excellent photo opportunities from both riverbanks, especially at sunrise or sunset when the warm light reflects off the water and highlights the historic architecture. Flowers line the sides in warmer months, adding color and charm to compositions. Centrally located and easily accessible on foot, Kapellbrücke is a must-capture subject for photographers visiting Lucerne. (Lucerne, Switzerland)
