Kvernufoss
Kvernufoss waterfall is a beautiful 30-meters high (98 ft) waterfall that is half hidden away in a gorge. It is located very close to the ring-road on the east side of the popular Skógafoss waterfall. It's often overlooked by tourists as they head to the bigger, more popular waterfalls in the area. It is possible to hike into the gorge to visit Kvernufoss, and the hike takes only some 20 minutes by the river. The hike starts from behind Skógar museum . You can even get in behind the falls.
